19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his first championship for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-time trainer Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first trophy after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface after that period of the previous year.
Success also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his ability to compete at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, reinforced by an better service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour title, took control to push for a final set.
The opponent saved 4 early-game break points in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
